Former Ordot-Chalan Pago mayor dies

Guam - The island is mourning the loss of longtime resident and former Ordot Chalan Pago Mayor Pedro Borja who passed away earlier today at the Guam Memorial Hospital.  Ordot Chalan Pago Mayor Jesse Gogue says he recieved word at round 3 o'clock this afternoon of Borja's passing.  Borja was the mayor of ths village from 2005 through 2009. He had moved to Ordot-Chalan Pago shortly after the war and married "Mama Tita Arceo." Mayor Gogue has known Borja since he was a little boy and says "he was a real respected person in the community. He will be missed". Gogue anticipates that information on the rosaries and funeral arrangements for Mayor Borja will be available Saturday.
