Guam - A suspicious package received by the Governor's Office central files prompted an evacuation of Adelup this morning.

As U.S. Navy Explosives Ordinance Disposal Senior Chief Brian Fitzgerald tells KUAM, the all clear was given just before two this afternoon.

"As a bomb squad we came out to take precautions on whether or not this was an ID. It turned out not to be. It was just misplaced mail. But we went and did our procedures and we cleared the threat," he said.

Guam Homeland Security spokesperson Alyssa Benito says the Guam Police Department and the Office of Civil Defense are investigating the incident.
