Guam - The House Armed Services Committee passed the HR4435 or the proposed FY15 NDAA. What it means for Guam? A provision is included in the bill that was sponsored by Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo that repeals the remaining restrictions on the use of Government of Japan and certain U.S. miltiary construction funds for projected related to the Marines Corps realignment to Guam. The NDAA also authorizes 128-million dollars for military construction projects locally and requires the Department of Defense and State to develop a strategy and implementation plan to support and sustain the rebalance to the Asia Pacific region.
