Guam - The Guam Visitors Bureau donated a Yamaha Wave Runner to the Department of Parks and Recreation lifeguard division at the Joseph Flores Memorial Park or Ypao Beach. GVB general manager Karl Pangelinan said, "Its going to be a jet ski a jet ski so that their hardworking lifeguards will have additional tools to help patrol our waters as you know in recent times we have had some issues with regard to water safety."

Recently there have been several drownings in Guam waters. Pangelinan says although this will not stop those incidents from happening it may help to save lives. The donation of the jetski was needed as DPR has only one other jetski and that unit is currently down.
