DPW Permit Center open for business

Guam - The Department of Public Works has not only completed renovations to its One-Stop Center, its been renamed The Permit Center.

DPW director Carl Dominguez said, "Its really almost a whole new facility its only the shell old, we have new windows, new doors new ceramic tile floors brand new ceiling all new energy efficient lighting fairly new energy efficient air conditioning system and all new furniture and we did this because of Governor Calvo's directive to improve customer service."

The Permit Center is home to several agencies including the Guam Fire Department, Public Health, Department of Revenue & Taxation and Treasurer of Guam. Funding for the $200,000 renovation was obtained through grants and the plan checking fees charged when applying for a building permit. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Monday however the permit center is open for business Monday through Friday from 8-5pm.
