Guam - The Attorney General's Office and the defense are in negotiations about a global plea offer for Keith Garrido. Garrido appeared via teleconference this morning for three pending criminal cases. He is being held behind bars accused of murdering a woman in Barrigada and then escaping from Department of Corrections custody and invading a Chalan Pago home and attempting to murder another woman.
During today's hearing defense attorney Stephen Hattori informed the court that negotiations are underway for Garrido to have a plea agreement for all three of his cases. The parties are scheduled to appear back in court on April 8 to determine if the case will be resolved with a plea. If not, the court indicated she will set the matter for trial in September.
