Guam - The Guam Fire Department issued over a handful of awards this morning to citizens displaying exceptional service and heroism along with firefighters within the department who went above and beyond their call of duty. The Citizen's Award for Exceptional Service went to Christine Camacho and Anderson Fire Department assistant fire chief Stanley Torres; the Citizen's Award for Heroism went to Matthew and Norita Charfaurous and Jermaine Guerrero; the Civilian of the Year Award went to emergency medical dispatcher supervisor John Burch; the Firefighter of the Year Award went to Brian Meno and the Supervisor of the Year went to Fire Captain Joey Manibusan.

The Fire Prevention Bureau meanwhile was awarded the Fire Chief's Outstanding Unit Award.
