First phase of FD renovation complete

Guam - Father Duenas Memorial School will be unveiling and celebrating the completion of the first phase of its renaissance project: The Boys Chapel and Bell Tower.
The major sponsor of phase one is Dr. Thomas Robinson, who is on Guam for Friday's blessing of the newly constructed facilities.
He said, "I came here in 2001 from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges to accredit the school we came here at that time Mr. Roth was the principal at the time but he had a heart condition that sent him to San Francisco so he was not here however the faculty was superb in their presentation and preparations to tell us about the school the school received a six-year accreditation."
Robinson came back in 2007 with a WASC team for another accreditation visit.
In honor of his beloved parents he was told to build the boys chapel in a mystical encounter.
He and his sister Sara provided the initial donation of $300,000 for the phase one project.
The chapel is designed in the traditional Romanesque style and can accommodate up to 120 to 140 people.
Together with the tower they serve as a concrete testament of the school's motto; Fortes In Fide; which means strong in faith.
The chapel and bell tower are the first of four phases to renovate the school. Phase two consists of the quad expansion, phase three: a parking lot with walkways and main entrance and phase four: the sports field and stadium.
