Woman maintains innocence for drug charges

Guam - Julia Heacock pleaded not guilty in court today. She was picked up by chance two weeks ago when local and federal agents were conducting a search warrant at an apartment in Tamuning. They not only found the fugitive they were looking for but Heacock in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
Law enforcement authorities confiscated items such as a digital scale, improvised glass pipes and about eight gross grams of suspected methamphetamine. She waived her right to a speedy trial.
She's scheduled to appear next month before the Adult Drug Court for a criminal trial setting. Heacock is already on probation for a federal drug case.
