Mayors pleased with Calvo's State of the Island Address
by Krystal Paco
Guam - Speaker Judi Won Pat may have been disappointed in Governor Eddie Calvo's State of the Island Address, but island mayors felt differently.
Sinajana mayor Robert Hoffman says village mayors came out in full force last Thursday and were pleased with Calvo's progress on making good on his promises.
"Overall the mayors were pleased at what the governor did mention and we're glad that he did recognize us and include us in really the future of Guam," he said.
Hoffman says mayors were especially pleased to hear initiatives to address roads like Roy T. Damian Street and Hamburger Road.
This in addition to expanding the public transportation system, which will help residents without cars seek employment.
