Guam - Leodagario Buan is still fighting to get his job back at the Department of Corrections. Buan appealed his termination with the Civil Service Commission that held a status call today. The officer was caught on camera getting a foot massage by a maximum security inmate and allowing the inmate to use his cell phone while he appeared to be sleeping.

As we reported, Buan claims there was no misconduct or unlawful act and that management knew of the alleged misconduct more than 60 days before terminating him.

The fired corrections officers has asked the Commission to accept his appeal, hold a hearing, and rule in his favor and revoke the termination, expunge his files and make him whole for losses and damages. Another status hearing is scheduled for later this month.
