Guam - It was last week approximately 250 gallons of diesel spilled at the Ohana Bayview Hotel. Following up on the investigation, Guam Environmental Protection Agency administrator Eric Palacios says the results will determine what action should be taken.
He told KUAM News, "Our investigation team is finalizing its assessment of the situation and I expect to receive the report and recommendations by early next week. If enforcement action is warranted through the gathering of both facts and data, and other evidence, then that's certainly the direction we will proceed and its to protect the environment."
As we previously reported, the generator fuel spilled when the fuel level indicator came off of the hotel's fuel tank.
The Guam Fire Department, the Department of Public Works, and Guam Homeland Security were among the agencies called to respond to the scene.
