Guam - If you're a parent of a high school student, come next school year, your child could be attending another school.
According to the Department of Education's Reassignment of Attendance Areas Proposal, GW High School students living in Barrigada, Barrigada Heights, and Mongmong-Toto-Maite may be transferred to the new central high opening in Tiyan. This in hopes of bringing the GW school population down from 2,700 to a little over 1,700.
If your student currently attends John F. Kennedy High and resides in Adelup, Anigua, Hagatna, and Maina, prepare to make a move to the new central high as well while parts of Dededo will be split to Simon Sanchez High and Okkodo High School. This in hopes of bringing the JFK community down to a little over 2-thousand.
Meanwhile, if your student attends Okkodo and resides in Mogfog, Las Palmas, or Macheche, prepare to move to the central high as well.
