As recovery efforts continue following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the community is coming together to support our neighbors in the CNMI. A local donation drive is now underway, collecting much-needed supplies for Saipan and Tinian.

In the wake of devastation left behind by Super Typhoon Sinlaku, relief efforts are ramping up across the Marianas. A community-driven donation drive is now collecting critical supplies to support families in Saipan and Tinian—areas hit hard by the storm. Donations are being accepted at Cars Plus Maite—now through Saturday, April 25—from noon to 4 p.m. daily.

Organizers say the focus is on priority items that can be quickly shipped and distributed—including bottled water, nonperishable and canned food, bags of rice, and essential hygiene items.

Flashlights and batteries—along with cleanup supplies like buckets, tarps, and trash bins—are also in high demand as communities begin the long road to recovery. Officials emphasize—no clothing donations will be accepted at this time—to ensure space is prioritized for urgent needs. All donated goods will be loaded into shipping containers and transported directly to saipan and tinian—with support from local partners and logistics teams.

As the islands continue to recover—this effort serves as a reminder of the region’s strong sense of community—and commitment to helping one another in times of need.
