Guam - The federal government and Maria Edrosa have reached a resolution but it needs approval from the District Court judge. Edrosa was convicted along with Mateo Sardoma and Rudy Sablan in a large drug trafficking case in federal court.

Sentencing hasn't occurred yet due to extensive legal issues that the parties have been litigating behind closed doors. Edrosa had filed a motion for a new trial, but according a proposed and conditional agreement signed by the government and the defendant, Edrosa agrees to drop that motion if the court accepts a proposal to sentence her to between 63 and 78 months behind bars.

The government also agrees to dismiss the remaining counts in the indictment as well as the forfeiture allegation that was filed against her. There's been no public record of any new developments in the case of Sardoma and Sablan, who are awaiting sentencing.
