Guam - With two back-to-back banner years in our island's number one industry the Guam Visitors Bureau and partnering agencies aren't sitting back to relax just yet. At today's launch of the Tourism 2020 Plan, GVB board chairman Mark Baldyga explained each of their eight objectives as they aim for 2 million visitors by 2020.

"This will be our guiding plan at GVB and I would really like everybody here to make it the guiding plan of your agency in your department and in your personal business as well," he said. "If the interests are aligned, the power is huge."

The objectives include improve quality and yield, grow arrivals and diversity, add high-end hotel rooms, focus on the meetings, incentives, conference, and exhibitions market, promote Chamorro culture, extend the average length of stay, promote our attractions, and extend tourism beyond Tumon.
