Guam - With zero tolerance for drug use, police chief Fred Bordallo ordered random drug testing in the police force.  Guam Police Department Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says police officers throughout the department were randomly drug tested last week.

Balajadia says the department has no reports of officers using illegal drugs but the chief wanted to implement the testing as a reminder that there is zero tolerance for drug use and officers are no longer eligible for safe harbor that had previously allowed an officer to come forward admitting drug use and undergo drug rehabilitation and not be terminated or disciplined.   The department intends to results the test results once they become available.

Officials have not said how many officers were tested.
