Guam - They're the committee responsible for approving the opening of the island's first charter school but they've been left in the dark. According to Guam Academy Charter School Council chair Rosa Palomo, they're in need of updates from the Guahan Academy Charter School who opened doors last August.

Palomo adds that the school has yet to re-appear before lawmakers for an oversight hearing.

As we previously reported, the last time school officials appeared at the legislature, they kept hush deferring all questions to their legal counsel, Daniel Somerfleck.

Somerfleck has since cut ties with the school and school principal Donna Dwiggins has yet to respond to KUAM's calls.
