Adelup says DOE shortfall is false
The Department of Education may be calling it a $9 million shortfall, but the Calvo Administration calls it otherwise.

Guam - The Department of Education may be calling it a $9 million shortfall, but the Calvo Administration calls it otherwise.
According to Governor Eddie Calvo's deputy press secretary Phil Leon Guerrero, the shortfall DOE reports is not caused by the reserve, but in fact caused by the TEFF not collecting all the tax revenues that Senator Ben Pangelinan projected would come in Fiscal Year 2013.
In a statement to KUAM, Leon Guerrero writes "Why the Legislature did not provide DOE an alternate funding source is perplexing. Senator Pangelinan knew about the tracking of the shortfall since the first quarter of FY2013. He's also the one the Legislature allowed to sabotage the property revaluation that would have filled the TEFF to projections."
Leon Guerrero adds the administration continues to work with DOE to ensure the funding deficit does not impact operations.
