Guam - A man who repeatedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old female minor was sentenced to 18 years behind bars.  In November of last year, Vincent Chargualaf Perez was convicted on five counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct and terrorizing. The victim came forward about the sexual abuse that occurred numerous times between January 2011 and June 2012.

"Too often children lack the support of their parents or family members to report crimes involving such intimate and private details, but when a mother stands by her child, as in this case, justice is never lost," said Attorney General Leonardo Rapadas.
