Guam - The history of Camp Roxas documented through the film "Under the American Sun" played as a prelude to its director Burt Sardoma, Jr's address to the Rotary Club.

During his speech he said the film, which was originally 20 minutes, will be expanded to close to an hour. "Just as recently as two months ago we were able to acquire the passenger manifest list which is hundreds of pages but we were only able to get a few because we have our volunteer purchasing some of the manifest for us," he explained.

Even with just a few pages of the manifest descendants of Camp Roxas may be able to see when their fore fathers first arrived on Guam. Sardoma says the manifest will be added to the film. The film tells the story of Filipino American immigrants who traveled from the Philippines to Camp Roxas in Agat after World War II as part of the military reconstruction effort.
