Guam - Thomas Tanaka Jr. Appeared before lawmakers this afternoon. He has been nominated to serve on the Cockfighting Licensing Board which has been inactive since 1997.  He says the board's vision is to promote facilities that are safe, clean and attractive enough for the community and tourists alike.

Tanaka told senators that its important that the board obtain a legal counsel as it begins drafting the elements needed for issuing licenses. He also testified that these new cockfighting licenses when issued will not only generate revenue but also through proper regulation can create new jobs.
