Male tourist drowns at Ypao Beach

Guam - Guam waters have claimed yet another life. According to Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Ed Artero units responded to Ypao Beach just after 11 a.m where a Japanese male tourist in his late 40's was pulled from the water. According to Department of Recreation lifeguard Joseph Nauta the man was pulled out of the water by a windsurfer and gave no signs of being in distress. Once on shore Nauta and fellow lifeguard Mike Benito began administering rescue breathing while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive. The victim was then transported to Guam Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
