Guam - They're the council responsible for approving new charter schools as well as oversight and come Monday, current chair Rosa Palomo will take the hot seat before the Committee on Education, Public Library and Women's Affairs.

On Monday, the retired teacher, is up for a reconfirmation for a three-year term on the board.

A total of seven members comprise the board, but only four seats are filled. Of those four, three have expired terms, including Palomo.

The hearing gets started at 10 a.m. in the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
