Guam - During a meeting of the Guam Economic Development Authority's board of directors, Guam Resource Recovery Partners shared their vision for a waste-to-energy project with the Guam Economic Development Authority. GRRP discussed the technology involved with the facility, the economic benefits the facility will have in 20 years and the environment benefits a municipal waste facility will have for the island.

According to project coordinator Dave Sablan, in addition to the waste to energy facility proposes that a municipal solid waste landfill also be constructed in order to hold solid waste, while the ash produced by the facility would be deposited at Layon.
