Curbside recycling program off to good start

It has been one month since the Guam Solid Waste initiated its island wide curb side recycle program and it is off to a good start.

Guam - It has been one month since the Guam Solid Waste initiated its island wide curb side recycle program and it is off to a good start. Solid Waste spokesperson Alicia Ferejan said, "Its looking really nice we have been getting a good response a good amount of recycle collection from our customers and we actually we know it will improve especially when we deliver to the rest of our customers."

With 75% of its customers with a recycle cart solid waste is tracking the tonnage of recycables collected and is currently waiting on a shipment of recycle carts arriving in late January with completion of distribution by early February, collection dates for customers with trash pick up dates scheduled for Monday and Wednesday recycables will be collected every first and third week of the month while customers with Tuesday and Thursday pickup will be on the second and fourth weeks of the month.
