Governor provides Port update to Secretary of Transportation

In the nation's capitol today, Governor Eddie Calvo provided an update on the Port's modernization program to secretary of transportation Anthony Foxx.

Guam - In the nation's capitol today, Governor Eddie Calvo provided an update on the Port's modernization program to secretary of transportation Anthony Foxx. Calvo reported that current construction projects are on schedule and within the appropriated $50 million budget and that all projects should be completed in the summer of 2015. Calvo also told the secretary that the collaborative effort between MARAD and the port is leading to the successful implementation of the modernization plan. Foxx reportedly was pleased with the progress. Guam serves as the 16th strategic port of the United States.
