Woman dies from injuries after Harmon crash

A woman died from injuries she sustained after she lost control of her car and slammed into a concrete pole in Dededo.

Guam - A woman died from injuries she sustained after she lost control of her car and slammed into a concrete pole in Dededo. Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the woman was driving a 2008 silver Nissan Altima on Mendioka Street when she crashed. 

A male minor was in the front passenger seat and was injured and is still undergoing treatment at the Guam Memorial Hospital.

GPD's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the crash, with the woman having been identified as 31-year-old Christina Fernandez.

Her death marks the 18th traffic-related fatality of the year 2013.
