Guam - Members from the Guam Legislature this morning presented the Kayangal Club of Guam a check for over $3,000 as part of typhoon relief efforts. Before making its way to the Philippines, Supertyphoon Yolanda hit Kayangal causing great damage to Palau's most northern state.

Kayangal Club of Guam president Tatsuo Otei said, "On behalf on my people of Palau and especially my island, I would like to thank everybody. Thank you senators and everybody who were part of this whole fundraising."

The funds were raised through a relief drive last Friday at both the ITC and Chief Kupuha intersections. The George Washington Class of 1953 meanwhile presented a check for $100 as well. Donations are still be accepted to aid in relief efforts as Senator Michael San Nicolas' office.
