Guam - Following an emotional public hearing last month, Senator Tina Muna Barnes is once again extending an invitation to the island community to the second public hearing on Bill 215.
The Joaquin Concepcion Cannabis Use Act of 2013 was introduced in October and seeks to allow for the use of medicinal marijuana on Guam. "We hope to get a lot of support or at least the comments from the government stakeholders, from the medical community and more importantly those that are looking at how this would be regulated, if they could come out and share their perspective with the committee," she said.
The Guam Medical Association and the Department of Public Health have informed KUAM they would be submitting testimony during the second public hearing which is set for Thursday, December 12 at 5:30pm at the Guam Legislature.
