Medicare beneficiaries urged to enroll in plan

Guam - If you're a Medicare beneficiary, you have until Saturday to enroll for the Medicare Part "D" plan called AARP Medicare Rx Preferred.
Medicare System Program Office and senior Medicare patrol volunteer Romolo Pellacani says under the plan, co-payments for prescription drugs could get as low as $7 for a 30-day supply. "Please come in because it's very helpful the premium for this plan is $20.50 per month not including penalty if you happen to be penalized. As you enroll we will explain exactly the format what the penalty is and the computation for the penalties," he said.
The Division of Senior Citizens Guam Medicare Assistance Program in Mangilao will be open from 8am to 2:30pm on Saturday.
If you miss Saturday's deadline, you'll have to wait until October 15, 2014 for Open Enrollment.
