Guam - A police officer assigned to the Hagatna Precinct is the subject of an Internal Affairs investigation to determine if he was truthful and acted appropriately when arresting a firefighter. A month ago, a firefighter was arrested while responding to a call for assistance from a woman and her minor son in Ordot.
The firefighter was arrested and released. But KUAM News has learned that GPD is now investigating whether the police officer had actual cause to arrest the firefighter at the scene and whether he was truthful about what transpired in his police report.
GPD spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia could not disclose any details only confirming an internal investigation is underway and the officer remains on duty.
