5 positive reactors for TB at Untalan Middle School
by Krystal Paco
Guam - Following skin test readings done on Monday at Untalan Middle School, the Department of Public Health confirms five came back positive reactors for tuberculosis.
As we've been reporting, it was earlier this month a UMS employee passed from the bacterial infection resulting in a mass screening of close contacts at the Tiyan school.
Public Health director James Gillan says that the five individuals will proceed to having a chest x-ray.
He adds the results should not cause alarm as the true indicators for TB will be diagnosed following a chest x-ray.
