Guam - From Facebook to twitter and even Instagram, marketing professionals are embracing them all. But how to do so effectively?

Owner of EntrepreNow Monica Cornetti spoke before dozens of women and a handful of men at the 2013 Bank of Guam Women in Business Conference, titled "Social Media Marketing the Smart Way."

Cornetti tells KUAM News, much like dating, marketing is about getting to know the customer, garnering their trust, and further developing that relationship. "People forget that social media is just a step in the connection making. And what we want to do is meet people who wouldn't normally meet us through social media. And get them to take a next step, which is typically to get them to come to our website, or if we had a storefront, to actually start engaging with us as a customer."
