by Krystal Paco
Guam - The Department of Education has identified 110 close contacts at Untalan Middle School who will need skin tests on Friday.
This follows the death of an Untalan Middle School teacher who recently passed from tuberculosis.
Department of Education deputy superintendent Rob Malay says the close contacts are those who were with the teacher on a daily basis, from staff members to students.
Close contacts will be administered the skin tests on Friday at school, which will be read on Monday.
Malay notes that parents are also welcome to have their students tested at a private clinic, but at the parents expense.
Close contacts who fail to have their skin tests read will not be allowed on campus.
