Salvation Army launches annual holiday caring campaign

'Tis the season to be giving and once again year the Salvation Army and the KUAM CareForce have partnered to bring cheer to families across the island.

Guam - 'Tis the season to be giving and once again year the Salvation Army and the KUAM CareForce have partnered to bring cheer to families across the island.

Salvation Army Captain Mike Lutcher told KUAM News, "We have begun our can food drive that starts now and end towards the end of December what we want to do during the holiday season is prepare special boxes and these probably hold several meals."

The holiday food drive will continue until December 20. Meanwhile, the Toy 'N Joy Christmas Gift Drive is accepting new and unwrapped toys starting November 25 through December 20.  Families can sign up to receive food and gifts on the 18th through the 22nd from 9am-3pm.

Toys and food boxes will be given out at the Tiyan location on December 1 through the 19th from 10am-4pm.

Also in store for the holiday season is the 17th Annual Thanksgiving Feast will be held at the Chamorro Village on November 28 from 10am-2pm. Red Kettle fundraising will also begin on November 22 through December 24. If you would like to volunteer contact 477-9866.
