Guam - In less than 24 hours the Department Of Corrections will be appearing before the legislature to hold an oversight hearing. Senator Brant McCreadie you may remember requested that an oversight be held as a result of the escape that occurred two weeks ago. We showed him the videos and pictures we obtained and gave to DOC yesterday.

"I can tell you this, that's an embarrassing video I can also assure you that's not the standard operating procedures I'm sure of the DOC. That's information that you have I will definitely call for an immediate investigation into what's going on this type of video and this type of behavior when it deals with public safety I always call it a three prong triangle approach when you have GPD, the Judiciary and you have the Department of Corrections this type of behavior at work when you're at work getting massaged taking off your shoes for that matter sleeping when a high level inmate is sleeping and sitting right next to you allegedly looking at your telephone I think that's embarrassing and I think action needs to be taken. And I do believe that the director is going to have his handful and he's going to have to make some tough decisions. On how the prison needs to be operated and run more efficiently and I think this video just clarifies that," he said.

Tomorrow's oversight hearing with the Department of Corrections is scheduled for two o'clock in the afternoon in the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
