Guam - Big news for students and staff at Simon Sanchez High School.

The Department of Education announces plans to temporarily shut down the Yigo campus.

According to DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez, these issues can't be ignored any longer as students continue to vocalise concerns for their health and safety.

During the temporary shutdown, SSHS will be put on double session with adjacent school, F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School. During that time, regulatory agencies will be asked to inspect and assess the facilities as well as determine the necessary actions to address deficiencies.
