GHD selected for construction management services

Guam - GHD, Inc. has been selected to perform construction management services during the Ordot Closure Construction project. GHD will be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections, tracking construction progress, reviewing and approving material and equipment submittals, and providing construction documentation that the closure system was constructed in accordance with the approved design.

"The construction management firm will provide the daily and continuous onsite presence that a project of such complexity needs to witness and to certify its proper installation," noted federal receiver representative David Manning from Gershman, Brickner & Bratton. "This cover system is designed for the anticipated 30-year post-closure period, and its proper construction will reduce overall operation and maintenance costs for the Government of Guam."

The receiver will now enter into negotiations with GHD for these services as the company was selected as the best qualified company from a request for proposal that was issued back in July.
