Sanchez High students wants school rebuilt now
by Krystal Paco
Guam - Students at Simon Sanchez High School are rallying together to send a message to our island's leaders.
At a wave held this morning along the school, students held signs with slogans including, "We Deserve Better" and "Rebuild Our Home Now."
As we've been reporting, it was last month students challenged elected officials to "Walk In the Shoes Of A Shark" to sit through hot and crowded classrooms as well as see firsthand the wear and tear on the aged campus.
In a followup visit, DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez came to the school again, this time with a team of engineers to assess what needs to be done.
A rebuild Simon Sanchez High Now parent information expo is set for tomorrow, November 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school's main hallway.
