Cabras One power unit undergoing overhaul
With Cabras Three back online, overhaul began today on Cabras One. The baseload unit has the capability of producing one-third of the island's electricity.

By KUAM NewsGuam - With Cabras Three back online, overhaul began today on Cabras One. The baseload unit has the capability of producing one-third of the island's electricity. According to GPA generation manager Sal Managa the $5 million overhaul includes maintenance on the pumps and motors along with the installation of new digital controls and a boiler management system. Managa adds this will increase the availability and reliability of the unit. The work should be completed in 50 days.
