Guam - 21-year-old Chad DeSoto underwent a second psychological evaluation this weekend. Colorado forensic psychiatrist Dr. Karen Fukataki was appointed by the Superior Court of Guam to conduct the review. DeSoto remains behind bars facing multiple murder and attempted murder charges after he went on a rampage in Tumon back in february.

Three people died and 11 others were injured. DeSoto pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness, disease or defect.

Dr. Fukataki was tasked with reviewing the first psych eval that was conducted by Naval Hospital psychiatrist Dr. Michael Kim, as well as conduct a second evaluation that was requested by the defense. Upon completion of the evaluation, Fukataki is expected to submit the report to the court under seal. Another hearing is scheduled for December 18 when the court is expected to set the matter for trial.
