Guam - Residents can look forward to the opening of the new emergency room later this month.

The good news comes from Guam Memorial Hospital administrator Joseph Verga who tells KUAM the ribbon cutting is set for mid to late November.

Once the new ER is opened, the second phase of renovations will begin to the old ER.

Set for completion in March, the whole project equates to 14,000 square feet. That's almost four times the space of today's emergency room.
