Recycle carts being delivered in Dededo this week
Guam - Going green continues as the Guam Solid Waste Authority is now delivering recycle carts to the Dededo area. A total of 2,000 carts will be delivered to solid waste customers in the Dededo area this week before making their way down south village by village. According to Solid Waste spokesperson Alicia Fejeran they hope to finish delivering all 16,000 recycle carts to customers islandwide by mid-December. She adds that the new schedule for recycle collection will start this November 1 during which time customers in Yigo and parts of Dededo will have their trash picked up on the first and third weeks of the month. As we reported the curbside recycling program is free of charge and will allow customers to help keep our island green through recycling household products such as paper, canned goods, and plastics.
