Guam - Guam Election Commission executive director Maria Pangelinan says an organization report was submitted by a political action committee that aims to change the island for the better by enforcing the Open Government Law. Appropriately enough, the committee is called "Open Government Guam" and is chaired by Benjamin Joel Schiff, according to GEC documents.
Schiff, you may recall, is the business manager for the Wise Owl Veterinarian Clinic.
Pangelinan says political action committees are formed with the intent to re-elect or elect a candidate or affect the election for or against a candidate or initiative. According to the organization's website, they hope to enforce the open government law as it relates to boards and ensuring they are transparent such as video recording and that its board members don't abuse the law.
