Typhoon Lekima won't affect Guam or CNMI

Guam - If you're debating whether or not to take off those typhoon shutters, weather officials confirm Typhoon Lekima will have no direct impact to Guam or the CNMI.

According to National Weather Service meteorologist Brandon Aydlett, no tropical storm watches or warnings will take effect as Lekima's closest approach will be tomorrow midday at roughly 550 miles off Guam.

Currently Lekima is 875 miles east of the island and continues its trek west-northwest at 17 miles per hour.
