Guam - A death investigation is ongoing following Saturday night's shooting on Chalan Emsley Street in Yigo. A neighbor who spoke with KUAM News today says she heard the first gunshot from her bedroom window just after 8 p.m.  followed by a second gunshot fifteen minutes later. At the time, she believed both sounds were a result of someone shooting at dogs in the village.

Neighbor Ruth Caporno says her neighbor "Petrus" was a longtime tenant of her uncle's house. She recalls the man's first wife was deceased and that he lived with his second wife and two young children who often played in the yard with other neighborhood kids.

"The woman is okay. She's the one cleaning the yard. The one bushcutting. Then she comes in and pays the bills on time. She's okay. We're not expecting that the guy's going to do that to the wife," she explained.

As we previously reported, a man was found dead at the scene while the woman was taken to GMH where GPD says she is in critical condition..

The medical examiner today confirmed that 66-year-old Petrus Folbuw died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Hospital officials would not disclose the victim's condition today citing patient confidentiality.
