Francisco becomes typhoon as it moves away from Guam

Guam is now in a Tropical Storm Warning which means damaging winds of 40 miles per or more are expected in the next 12-24 hours.

Guam - Guam is now in a Tropical Storm Warning which means damaging winds of 40 miles per or more are expected in the next 12-24 hours. Tropical Storm Francisco has been upgraded to a typhoon and is now located further away from the island, about 205 miles to the southwest of Guam.

Typhoon Francisco has begun to drift north at about 5mph while continuing to intensify. Guam remains in Condition of Readiness 3.
