Guam - As part of the efforts to improve substance abuse treatment on Guam, a series of roundtable meetings kicks off this Thursday.

Committee on Health chair Senator Dennis Rodriguez Jr. will host the first roundtable with the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center.  The roundtable is set to focus on gaps in the in-patient treatment options for those battling addictions to drugs, alcohol or both.

Non-governmental organizations contracted to manage local recovery programs, private practice treatment providers along with individuals and families that have experienced drug and alcohol dependence and treatment programs are invited to attend as well.

The roundtable is set for 2pm at the Guam Legislature.
