Guam - As a result of the heavy wind, rain and wave activity, Port Authority General Manager Joanne Brown confirms that Dock D at the Agat Marina sustained 65% damage to its structure. Port Authority of Guam Maintenance personnel secured the power and water lines to Dock D. A number of boat tenants were present at the Marina Saturday afternoon to secure their vessels. The Port is also in the process of contacting Marina tenants who may not be aware of the damage to Dock D.

She told KUAM News, "Dock D has certainly moved up the priority listing last month we were able to issue the bid on dock a which is a commercial dock to rebuild an new aluminum dock. It's been about 25 years since this particular marina was originally built and there's obviously a need to address the refurbishment of this facility."

Port staff is working on removing the debris from the dock and the surrounding waters. Meanwhile, Brown says a package will be put together for the board to address the reconstruction of Dock D.
